Position description:

The successful candidate will be the key participant in creating and managing the external financial reporting process for a pre-IPO company. Working with the Accounting Director, this person will set up the processes for preparation and timely filing of financial reporting and will be a key contributor working on an S-1 in the event of an IPO. This individual will have significant interaction with external auditors, executive management, and external securities council.

Responsibilities:


• Research SEC and Generally Accepted Accounting Principals (GAAP) related rules and issues as they relate to Ironwood.
• Prepare documentation surrounding Ironwood transactions to ensure that they are handled properly in accordance with the SEC and FASB.
• Assist in the preparation of the Financial Statements and all related disclosures.
• Interface with Senior Management, external auditors, securities council and other third parties as required to prepare SEC reporting documents
• Construct a SOX framework for testing within the Company.
• Prepare financial reports as requested by executive management.
• Provide thoughtful recommendations to incorporate changes in guidance into current accounting protocols.

Requirements:


This full time position is best suited to an individual with recent managerial public accounting experience. The individual should have working knowledge of GAAP and SEC reporting rules and regulations. This person should have their CPA and worked in the public accounting environment for 5 - 7 years and posses other related work experience totaling 8+ years. Excellent written and communication skills are a must.
