MANAGER OF EARLY COMMERCIAL DEVELOPMENT
The Manager of Early Commercial Development will be responsible for ensuring that Organogenesis intimately understands the market & unmet medical needs for products/tech platforms in development and investigates attractiveness of new market opportunities for platform technologies.

This position is responsible for establishing a TPP (Target Product Profile) for all products in early development. He/She integrates and disseminates knowledge & information across the value chain (product development, preclinical development, clinical development, marketing & sales) to ensure delivery of the TPP in the product that enters clinical development. This function works closely with Product Development, Regulatory, Legal (IP), Pre-Clinical and Clinical departments. This function also represents Marketing/Commercial in respective Project Teams. The Manager will report to the Senior Manager of Early Commercial Development.
Responsibilities include:
• Providing value-added commercial direction to optimize clinical value and commercial opportunity, e.g. by generation of TPPs, sales forecasts, early brand plans, early communication plans, publication plans, tradenames, by commissioning market research studies and contributing to planning.
• Identify key KOLs (Key Opinion Leaders) to involve in the early product development efforts and build & maintain productive personal relationships with them.
• Generate KOL and speaker pool together with Clinical Research.
• Organize advisory boards as required to better understand market dynamics and needs.
• Conduct P&L modeling and NPV calculations for various launch & partnering scenarios for pipeline products. Recommend commercial strategy based on outcomes.
• Monitor related technology and competitive developments and propose actions to the Executive Leadership team.
• Run/Chair the cross-functional competitive intelligence team.
• Assessing new markets, market segments and competitors by database researches, congress evaluations, personal contact with relevant KOLs, market research studies (both quantitative and qualitative).
• Monitor expenditure vs. budget for early commercialization projects & alliance initiatives.
• Develop expertise in various clinical applications to support development of product design & pre-clinical/clinical protocols
• Contribute to multidisciplinary product development team.
• Responsible for commercial and strategic fit assessment for BD&L licensing projects. Requires assessment of relevant markets and its dynamics, competition, differential advantage analysis, potential positioning, forecasting, due diligence attendance.
• Regular review of newswires & retrieval of relevant information from congresses and meetings
• Up to 20% travel is required

Education and Experience:
• Minimum of Bachelors degree in scientific discipline
• Advanced scientific degree (PhD) in life science field or MS with 3-5 years Medical Device, Pharma or Biotech industry experience
• Additional industry experience preferred
• Knowledge of device and/or biologics product development
• Excellent computer skills
• Strong quantitative, organizational and analytical skills
• Strong interpersonal skills (emotional intelligence) & ability to navigate ambiguity
• Excellent cross-functional communication and social skills, including presentation and public speaking.
