Job Summary
Reporting to the regional business manager, the sales specialist is responsible for attainment of annual sales quota and business goals. Responsible for driving top line growth and delivering annual performance targets for DL accounts across the Boston, Massachusetts territory. Develops and maintains one on one relationship with key distributor sales reps within assigned areas. Works on business projects within the sales function to drive growth

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for delivering annual performance targets for DL accounts across Boston, Massachusetts territory.
- Initiates customer contact, visits existing and/or prospective customers and influences buying decisions. Presents products and services that can benefit customer's needs and may recommend appropriate alternatives.
- Develops and maintains one on one relationship with key distributor sales reps within assigned areas. Educates distributors on products, pricing, promotions and policies. Partners with distributor sales reps to influence sales and business growth.
- Develops Territory Management Plan (TMP) to highlight account and product strategies. Determines strengths, opportunities and potential threats and makes recommendations to remove barriers and increase sales performance.
- Utilizes sales analytical tools (ACT, Diver, TMP's) to conduct territory analysis and drive growth and territory performance
- Works on business projects that impact the sales function to drive growth.
- Responsible for product and systems training for customer and dealer reps.
- May provide support to other reps within territory/ region as needed.
- Works with general direction from manager. Performs and perfects sales, service, and administrative tasks and procedures.

Qualifications:
- Demonstrates fundamental to intermediate knowledge of the organization's products, processes, policies, services lines. May have more in-depth knowledge of a subset of products or services.
- Good working knowledge of company, products, competitors and industry.
- Strong systems and analytical skills required, with fundamental to intermediate knowledge and application of sales systems. Utilizes sales systems and processes such as Diver, ACT, TMP, MMRs to conduct analysis, optimize sales performance and drive territory growth.
- Must have demonstrated ability to conduct analysis to understand key accounts and develop specific sales tactics to drive business.
- Possesses strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
- Requires a valid driver's license with travel up to 75%.

Education/Experience:
- Requires Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Life Sciences. 1 - 4 years of direct sales experience preferred. Experience working with Distributors and Government/GSA preferred.
