U.S. Genomics is seeking highly motivated Researchers to work in a multi-disciplinary team on an advanced product development program for the U.S. Dept. of Homeland Security. USG's proprietary technology for identification of DNA offers a unique advantage for threat detection with high sensitivity and specificity. U.S. Genomics has been awarded a Phase IIIX contract by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security S&T (Science and Technology Directorate) to continue development of the Company's sophisticated biological sensor for biodefense applications. Under this program, funded by DHS's Bioagent Autonomous Networked Detectors (BAND) program, U.S. Genomics will complete technology and prototype development of its system for the detection and identification of airborne pathogens using its DNA mapping technology. The contract award follows the successful completion of several phases of multimillion BAND contract. Founded in 1997, U.S. Genomics is located in Woburn, Massachusetts.

The successful candidate should have a Bachelors or Masters with 0-2 years experience in Bioengineering, Biophysics, Physical Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field. Previous experience with fluorescence microscopy, DNA manipulation, electrophoresis, and microfluidics is a plus. Excellent communication skills and demonstrated productivity in a laboratory setting are required.
