The Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard seeks a PROCESS TECHNICAL ASSISTANT, Broad Institute-Production Sequencing Group, to work as part of a team, meeting the production process goals of the group by preparing and executing amplification, purification, and other sequencing reactions and techniques. Will adhere to quality standards through evaluation and troubleshooting at critical process points; prepare all necessary reagents, perform quality control procedures, and document work progress and results in a database; and work with the technology and development team to improve existing protocols and implementation of novel technology platforms.

REQUIREMENTS: a bachelor's degree in science or engineering; familiarity with computers, databases, and working in a Windows environment; strong organizational, analytical, and oral and written communication skills; and ability to effectively work as part of a team. Experience with automation preferred. Must demonstrate strong attention to detail.
