The Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard seeks a PROJECT MANAGER, NOVEL THERAPEUTICS PLATFORM, to work with the director of novel therapeutics and associated leadership in supporting the establishment and management of the core capabilities of Broad's Novel Therapeutics Platform. Will track progress of a portfolio of projects associated with major grant(s) through each stage of development (e.g., screening, chemistry, MedChem, ADME, etc.); work with individual project team leaders to understand and document project goals and strategies, monitor and report on project progress towards milestones, and resolve blocking issues as needed; assist senior project manager with preparation of quarterly reports to funding agencies and on ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget; and develop new systems to facilitate project management.

REQUIREMENTS: a bachelor's degree in biology or related field; five years of relevant professional experience; and demonstrated ability to develop, implement, and monitor projects. Formal training in project management desired, as is experience in a chemical biology and biological screening environment. Experience managing funder/sponsor relations also desired. Must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact with an interdisciplinary group including research scientists, data analysts, and computer scientists.
