We have an immediate need for a talented individual to join the Idenix team in the following role:

Scientist DMPK - Bioanalytics
Location: Cambridge, MA

Responsibilities

• Investigate characteristics of novel small molecules undergoing preclinical development .
• Contribute to the preclinical research with expertise in separations science and mass spectrometry.
• Apply the experience to the quantification of drugs in biological matrices using LC-MS/MS as well as drug metabolite identification in the developmentand discovery stages.
• Work with a multi disciplinary team of scientists and contribute to preclinical pharmacokinetic and metabolism in vitro and in vivo studies with bioanalytical support through method development, sample analysis, and report writing in support of regulatory filings.
• Responsible for LCMS instrumentation.
• Promote the introduction of new analytical methodology as well as take an active part in developing laboratory processes that can enhance quality and productivity.

Education/Experience

• PhD in analytical chemistry and more than 5 years of experience from pharmaceutical industry.
• Strong skills in separation science and quantitation of small molecules using LC-MS/MS
• Extensive experience in biological sample analysis and different sample extraction techniques.
• Experience with GLP and regulatory guidelines for bioanalysis, strong problem solver and good report writing and communication skills.
• Strong skills in mass spectrometry applications in drug development
