Position will report to a Principal DMPK Investigator and will be mainly responsible for the validation and conduct of in vitro metabolic stability studies to determine the metabolic rate of compounds in discovery stage. In addition to the dedication to running metabolic stability studies independently, other responsibilities include but not limited to preparation of samples for various in vitro and in vivo ADME assays such as protein binding assay, CYP450 inhibition assay and bioanalysis for pharmacokinetic studies.

Language and Education

• MS in Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmacology, Drug Metabolism or related discipline is required
• Excellent oral and written communication skills (English) are a must

Skill Requirements

• 2 years experience in pharmaceutical industry or biotech
• Experience in performing in vitro metabolism assays using hepatic microsomes in the drug discovery setting
• Experience in using LC/MS/MS (API 3000 or API 4000 systems preferred) for quantitation
• Experience in working with high-throughput in vitro metabolism assays using 96-well plate
• Good understanding of enzyme kinetics including mechanism of enzyme inhibition
• Knowledge of phase I and phase II drug metabolizing enzymes
• Ability to work as a team member and communicate to interdisciplinary project teams
