The Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard seeks a SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER, CHEMICAL BIOLOGY, Broad Institute-Chemical Biology Program/Platform-Novel Therapeutics Platform, to oversee the management of a portfolio of projects. Will be responsible for managing work under several major grants that are supporting the research group, dividing work among project managers, and serving as centralized contact point between individual project managers and the chemical biology leadership staff; tracking individual project's progression through the overall pipeline by direct communications with project managers; working independently to anticipate and respond to the needs of project teams to achieve project goals and overall milestones; ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget; using strong background in chemical biology and biological screening to consult on issues relating to experimental design, methods of analysis, and interpretation of results; and using project management skills and knowledge of custom databases and reporting systems to execute and monitor external projects within the chemical biology program and platform.

REQUIREMENTS: a Ph.D. in biology, chemical biology, or related field or a master's degree and at least five years' relevant professional experience. At least one year of experience coordinating or conducting projects in a high-throughout laboratory setting required. Experience with customer or client relations preferred. Excellent organizational, oral and written communication, and interpersonal skills needed. Must be able to interact with an interdisciplinary group, including data analysts, computer scientists, synthetic chemists, and laboratory biologists.
