Description
A position is open in the In Vivo Pharmacology Group for a motivated Principal Investigator (PI)/Senior PI with experience in the development and execution of in vivo pharmacological models of oncology. Because of our expanding efforts in cancer drug discovery and development, this position is key to moving drug candidates through our pipeline.
Responsibilities include development and use of isograft/xenograft and PK/PD mouse models for testing of small molecule compounds or biologics, proper experimental design and data analysis, and implementation of in vivo imaging techniques. In addition, the successful candidate will hire and manage one-to-three direct reports.
Qualifications
Candidates must have a Ph.D. in the area of cancer biology or pharmacology or equivalent, plus direct, hands-on experience with in vivo models of oncology in an industry setting. The ability to work in a team environment is essential, as the incumbent will work closely with other members of the In Vivo Pharmacology Group and also participate on multidisciplinary project teams. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are required, as is managerial experience.
