Scientist - Sr Scientist, Cell line generation    ( hiring all levels)

 The Percivia PER.C6® Development Center develops the PER.C6® human cell line for recombinant proteins.  PERCIVIA offers an integrated technology platform for protein production and provides customers a hands-on experience of the PER.C6® technology.  The PER.C6® platform encompasses cell line generation technology, cell culture development, and downstream processes, design, scale-up, technology transfer, and regulatory support.  High yields in combination with the fully human glycosylation properties, make the PER.C6 cell line an attractive platform for the production of proteins, including monoclonal antibodies.  

General Duties:

• Plan, direct, and execute scientific research to understand the protein production in PER.C6 cells including the transcription, translation and post-translational modifications
• Responsible for troubleshooting and resolve protein expression problems
• Provide direction on current best practices in cell line generation and create new technologies
• Keep updated with the recent advances in cell biology and biotechnology

Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, or equivalent
• Over 1-3 years post doctoral research experience; industry experience preferred
• A proven record of developing cell lines producing recombinant proteins, preferably with different types of proteins and using different cell lines
• Strong knowledge and experience in cell biology specially protein synthesis and glycosylation
• Excellent communication (oral and written)
• Must be a team player and able to work in a matrix organization
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously and be able to prioritize according to the business needs.
