Manufacturing Supervisor, Media and Equipment Prep Second Shift position Monday through Friday 6.00p.m.- 2:30 A.M. Working in a large scale cGMP cell culture facility which includes Seed Culture, Media Preparation, and Equipment Preparation • Supervise the Media Preparation area which includes small scale and large scale production lines. Also responsible for Downstream Equipment Preparation area: Glasswash, Depyro, Autoclave and assembly.
• Demonstrate strong leadership attributes and provide work direction to staff.
• Manage team performance.
• Operate complex systems and equipment in strict accordance with current GMP's, SOP's, and safety guidelines.
• Serve as a technical resource focal point for questions and/or troubleshooting activities.
• Train less experienced or new staff.
• Author complex new procedures as well as revise current procedures.
• Apply advanced concepts while performing the most complex tasks of the position.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences/Engineering. 5 plus years of related lab or manufacturing experience including 1 to 2 years experience leading/supervising in a manufacturing environment preferred. Proven experience in cGMP cell culture operations including SIP, CIP, sterile filtration, aseptic hood techniques, and sterile process vessel operations. Requires physical ability to lift up to 30-35 pounds and may involve work with hazardous materials.
Preferred Qualifications:
4 plus years of cGMP cell culture operations experience. Candidates should also demonstrate good technical writing skills, strong troubleshooting skills, be familiar with biologics regulations, and have previous experience with project management. Ideal candidates will have experience with automated control systems (Delta V or equivalent).
