Director, Pre-Clinical Development
We are looking for a highly motivated scientific leader to work across multiple programs to characterize the pharmaceutical profiles of compounds from discovery through non-clinical development. This scientist will be responsible for leading all company DMPK initiatives, both internal and external.
This individual will be responsible for implementing leading edge techniques to identify high quality compounds for preclinical studies and progression into development. This leader will work closely with other scientists at Ra Pharma to shape the current and future portfolio of effective drugs to treat diseases in a variety of indications.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. or equivalent in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmacology, or related field with a specific focus on pharmacokinetics and a minimum of 10 years experience in the biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry. Additional requirements are a demonstrated deep technical knowledge in one or more areas of DMPK, including pharmacodynamic modeling and ADMET. The candidate must have demonstrated ability to work with multiple disciplines along the drug discovery/development spectrum. Excellent communication skills including written, oral, and presentation are required. Experience in the preparation of regulatory documents, e.g. INDs is essential. Proficiency with WinNonLin/Phoenix and NONMEM, SAS, GastroPlus, Symcyp) is required.
