Boston Children's Hospital is home to the world's largest research enterprise based at a pediatric hospital. More than 1,100 scientists, including nine members of the National Academy of Sciences, 11 on-staff members of the Institute of Medicine and 9 members of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, comprise our research community. Current initiatives have attracted a record $225 million in annual funding, including more federal funding than any other pediatric facility.

 

The mission of the Technology and Innovation Development Office (TIDO) (http://childrensinnovations.org/) is to translate the excellence of the laboratory research and clinical care at Children’s Hospital Boston into lifesaving biomedical products, devices and procedures for the public benefit.

 

We are seeking a Business Development Associate to join the growing team in TIDO. The  Business Development Associate will work to initiate, develop and execute partnerships between Children's and industry to support research and technology development.  The Associate will connect TIDO with potential collaborators through outreach events, strategic marketing initiatives, and external communications.  Another aspect of the job is to do primary and secondary market research to evaluate projects for patenting and for investment through TIDO’s Technology Development Fund, and to package technology opportunities for licensing.  We seek an individual with scientific acumen and experience in alliance formation and management.
