Cost Accountant/Senior Cost Accountant

Responsibilities:

  • Verify and reconcile cost accounting system
  • Prepare Cost plus billings
    • Knowledge of Billing Worksheets, SF1034 and 1035
    • Experience working in Wide Area Workflow
    • Experience working with DFAS and MyInvoice
  • Create and review the controls needed for cost accumulation and reporting systems
  • Accumulate and apply overhead costs as required by generally accepted accounting principles and Government accounting (DFAR, FAR & CAS)
  • Assist in Month End closing and reporting
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budget
  • Provides timely reporting of cost variances
  • Performs other duties and special projects as requested by management.
  • Maintenance of contract files
    • Set up new tasks with labor categories and contract work force
    • Set up contract budgets for revenue recognition
  • Reconcile unbilled receivables
  • Reports to Senior Controller

 Desired Qualifications:

  • BS/BA in Accounting, Business, or related field of study (or equivalent)
  • Deltek Experience a must (minimum of 3 years)
    • Deltek GCS
    • Deltek Time and Expense
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment
  • Earned Value Management experience
  • Excellent analysis skills, and the ability to collaborate with a multi-department team
  • 5+ years of accounting/finance experience
