Research Associate – Membrane Biophysics
Successful candidate will be responsible for conducting and designing high-throughput biophysical investigations in the cells and model membrane systems. Duties include maintenance of various cell lines and investigation of membrane fluidity, intra-molecular interactions, membrane trafficking and bioenergetics. In addition, oversight of ordering, sample preparation, and laboratory maintenance are also expected.
BS or MS (MS preferred) with 1+ years of experience in chemistry, biophysics, bioengineering or related discipline is desired. Experience with cell culture, cell-based studies, single molecule fluorescent microscopy is desirable. Knowledge of membrane organization and dynamics, model lipid membranes, ion channel measurements, and bioenergetics is a plus. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills combined with the ability to meet timelines in an efficient manner is required. Must be able to work in a team-oriented environment and demonstrate attention to detail.
