Research Associate – (Metabolomics)
Berg is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our rapidly expanding omics division. Successful candidate will be responsible for high-throughput sample preparation for metabolomics analysis in our multi-omics pipeline. Duties will include organization of samples, performing liquid-liquid extractions, liquid chromatographic separation, mass spectrometric analysis, as well as structure elucidation as necessary. Broad knowledge of metabolism, metabolite identification, neurodegeneration, cardiovascular biology, toxicology, and mass spectrometry is a plus, but not required. In addition, oversight of ordering and laboratory maintenance is also expected.
BS/MS in chemistry, biochemistry or related discipline (MS preferred) with 1-3 years of experience. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills combined with superior and proven track record of technical and organizational skills. Must be able to work in a team-oriented environment and demonstrate attention to detail and record keeping. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required for preparation of reports to management.
