Experienced hands-on individual who can oversee the planning, analysis and management reporting of entity operating results as well as serve as a financial liaison to Manufacturing, Clinical and Commercial Operations.  Reporting to the VP, Finance, the successful candidate will be accountable for the development and implementation of cost center budgets and forecasts as well as tracking the budget/forecast variance. Will serve as a resource in all aspects of financial planning and internal reporting and will partner with manufacturing, clinical and commercial operations management to understand budget and forecasted activities/drivers.The position is highly visible throughout the organization and will leverage financial expertise towards evaluating spending plans, capital appropriations, and personnel plans that align with corporate goals, policies and budgetary parameters. Public company experience in biotechnology a strong plus.

Budget and Forecasting:

  • Partner with key functions to understand key drivers, trends and plans. Build financial models and manage the analysis, reporting, and monitoring of operating results.

Monthly/Quarterly reporting:

  • Prepare/manage the timely issuance of monthly/quarterly financial report packages for operational managers and senior management.
  • Support monthly close activities.
  • Create dashboard to monitor financial performance provide business updates.
  • Assist in the preparation of board and audit committee presentations

Adhoc Analysis:

  • Develop information tools/management reporting key operating activities.
  • Model and maintain P&L, cash flow and balance sheet projections.
  • Special projects and analysis as required.



  • Demonstrate a solid understanding and confidence in the completeness and accuracy of work  
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast paced environment - flexibility, team oriented, collaborative work style and a positive attitude
  • Ability to complete tasks with a high degree of accuracy utilizing strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Demonstrated FP&A experience at the corporate or business unit level
  • Strong grasp of financial planning and reporting systems
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, financial reporting and analysis and SEC compliance

Education and Experience

  • 7-10 years of relevant financial experience-ideally in an operations oriented environment
  • 3-5 years work experience in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Experience with consolidation, ERP and FP&A/Budgeting systems
  • Strong PC skills including MS Office Products
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field
  • MBA Preferred
  • Experience with top-flight accounting organization
