We are seeking a well rounded and dynamic individual who can successfully operate and contribute in a professional services environment. The Life Sciences Executive Search Professional will be a member of the Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology Sector, and will partner with colleagues in this sector on executing and delivering superior results to our clients. Typical clients include large pharmaceutical companies, specialty pharmaceuticals, emerging growth biotech firms and private, venture backed companies.
This person is responsible for working in conjunction with Associates and Consultants throughout the kick-off, strategy, and execution of search engagements to bring each search to a successful completion. S/he will also participate in the preparation of potential new business presentations, client meetings, and candidate interviews, when appropriate. Finally, s/he is responsible for tracking industry trends and developments, including information on clients and target companies, and will share this knowledge base with the practice as a whole.
Immediate and continuing goals will be identifying potential candidates for high level assignments through networking with colleagues, reaching out to candidates in our database, developing new contacts via networking, and using the Internet, trade publications, conference materials and other resources in identifying and contacting new potential candidates and sources.
This position caters to individuals with approximately ten years of experience in the biotechnology and/or pharmaceutical world. This individual has a good understanding of companies and trends in the space, and is eager to learn more.
Additional skills include:
- Science background or proven aptitude for understanding the Pharmaceutical/Biotechnology business (knowledge of commercial and R&D stages a plus.)
- Highly intelligent and analytical individual who is detail oriented.

- Strong sense of curiosity and an ability to ask questions thoughtfully and thoroughly.
- Self starter with exceptional persistence to excel and a sense of urgency to meet client needs.

- Outstanding communication skills, particularly the ability to interact credibly on the telephone with people at all levels of an organization.
- Solid writing ability and strong grammar skills.
- Solid judgment skills for assessing people and situations.
- Able to manage time well and prioritize multiple tasks appropriately.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, and an ability to learn our internal database system.
