Perform assigned duties and tasks for the manufacturing of components and blood plasma and serum products in accordance with all written procedures, batch documentation, ISO Standards and cGMP guidelines. In doing so, be a champion of Quality in all aspects of work and interactions with colleagues. Job requirements include working in clean rooms and laboratory settings with the use of proper protection equipment which may include a company provided respirator.
A Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry or related science is required. This individual should have a minimum of 1 year of experience working in a laboratory setting, knowledge of GMP/ISO 9001 and 13485 is preferred. This person must have “hands on” process development experience for protein purification, such as Tangential flow filtration, chromatography, filtration and a good understanding on the principle of these operations. In addition, this individual must possess good problem solving skills, the ability to work in a team and strong communication skills (verbal/written). This person must also have the flexibility to work overtime, with and without notice, as schedule demands are determined. The laboratory working conditions for this position include the handling of infectious and noninfectious human plasma and serum and hazardous chemicals. This individual must also be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
