In this role you must combine strategic thinking, detail-oriented execution, exceptional decision making and assertive leadership in a dynamic entrepreneurial environment.

Position Overview:

In this position, your work will drive the hardware and software development of our Simoa  platform.  This role will lead a team of highly motivated engineers, as well as manage relationships with key external collaborators and suppliers to achieve aggressive product development deliverables.  This individual will need to have the ability to analyze, develop and drive product development project plans to proactively identify and address challenges to meet key deliverables, providing regular updates to the Leadership Team and Board of Directors.  The ideal candidate will have experience in the diagnostics market with hardware and software instrument integration experience.   Specifically, Quanterix is looking for someone who will:

  • Drive the team and partners to deliver quality products on time and within budget
  • Interact with suppliers and collaboration partners to determine instrument requirements
  • Collaborate with the Research team to provide technical guidance for next generation platforms, instrument or other products
  • Organize and motivate the product development team; analyze and resolve risks; execute a project plan and communicate status accurately
  • Collaborate with the Sales & Marketing teams to provide assistance for escalated customer support challenges, as well as product service and training execution and documentation
  • Serve as a Manager leading, mentoring, developing, recruiting and retaining high quality engineers and subject matter experts on your team
  • Provide coaching and direction on techniques to achieve stated goals through education, training, coaching and collaboration on design and implementation
  • Define and utilize metrics and reports to manage performance efforts


 Our ideal candidate must possess:

  • BS in Engineering or related discipline and a minimum of 10 years of experience in  the Diagnostic Life Science market
  • Significant project and technical team leadership experience
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills
  • Expert level knowledge  and experience in software and hardware system integration
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills
  • Must have proven success in a small, dynamic, fast-paced company
  • Experience with immunoassay development is also a must
