Job Description Summary:   Scientific Outreach is responsible for spearheading and maintaining key relationships with individuals, institutions, and organizations with whom ARIAD collaborates. Will have direct contact with Health Care Provider (HCP), agencies, vendors, patient advocacy groups, and other outside organizations.     Duties and Responsibilities:  
Coordinates outreach activities with HCPs and Advocacy Groups, including conference calls, live or virtual advisory board meetings, investigator meetings Establishes and maintains project timelines Liaise with legal and regulatory colleagues to ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with ARIAD’s policies, procedures, work instructions Integrates and coordinates activities of third-party vendors (i.e. meeting planners, medical writers) Works with internal as well as guest presenters to assure content is aligned with agenda and event objectives Interacts with HCPs and Advisory Groups as needed Candidate will be able to provide guidance to vendors, work with legal and regulatory groups to align objectives with policies; candidate will be a problem solver, able to anticipate problems, triage issues, and will be comfortable driving timelines and processes;  candidate will be comfortable communicating priorities and plans with key internal and external stakeholders, including recommending shifts in priorities; candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, often coordinating 4 – 8 programs at one time; candidate will be comfortable creating/establishing processes and templates as needed. Candidate will be comfortable working in matrix environment with colleagues to gain consensus when necessary; candidate will be able to profile thought leaders, using public information sources Budget management– Manages Scientific Outreach annual budget; oversees annual/quarterly/monthly budget updates, forecasting, aggregate spend reporting etc. Candidate will be comfortable providing guidance to finance regarding A/P, invoicing, accrual schedules, forecasts, re-forecasting exercises, purchase orders, etc. Oversees Grants Management System to ensure all requests for grants and charitable contributions are being process in a timely, compliant manner Candidate will be familiar with the process of providing grants and charitable contributions to qualified organizations; will be comfortable aligning budgets and strategic plans into criteria for grant review and approval; candidate will have excellent organizational and analytical skills and will be able to maintain understanding of annual granting and giving program
  Requirements:  
 Advanced degree in life science, business, public health preferred 5+ years of pharmaceutical experience a strong preference; including experience in one or more of the core areas of scientific outreach (KOL outreach or patient advocacy) Oncology experience a strong preference Must have excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills         Footer Submitting a resume online at a job site could cause valuable screening information to be missed.
