Job Description / Key Responsibilities
You will play a leading role in a highly collaborative team that develops and implements processes and automated systems to make and differentiate ES and iPS cellular models. The team is a specialized hub within the Neuroscience department capable of reprogramming cells, carrying out complex molecular biology and genome engineering, and identifying robust differentiation protocols to make various types of neurons and glia. You may use automated solutions for maintaining cells over long differentiation periods and for directed engineering of ES and iPS cells. Excellent communication and teamwork will be critical.
The candidate will have a B.S. or M.S. degree or equivalent in biochemistry, cell biology, or a similar discipline with at least six years of industrial or academic research experience. The candidate will ideally be experienced in iPS / ES cell culture, genome editing technologies such as CRISPR and TALEN, molecular biology techniques, genotyping, flow cytometry, high-content imaging, automated cell culture, and cell-based assay development. The candidate must be highly collaborative, self-motivated, team-oriented, and have excellent communication and computer skills.
