Director Bioanalytical Chemistry

Our well financed early stage and centrally located client continues to grow. Needed immediately is a Director level Bioanalytical Chemist with a specialty in Oligonucleotide science. This person will serve as the leader of the Bioanalytical Team, and will be responsible for analytical research and development efforts frequently using LC/MS and HPLC instrumentation to measure oligonucleotide levels in variety of biological samples, conjugation products, formulations, etc... This is position is well suited for someone who can serve as a hands on scientist and group leader - a true team player and coach.

General
- Creation, development and use analytical methods to identify & characterize oligonucleotides in small scale manufacturing batches. Development and use of assays for the measurement of oligonucleotide molecules in biological fluids using LC/MS and HPLC
- Identification and characterization of metabolites and by- products.
- Occasional troubleshooting of minor analytical instrument problems
- Management of external contractors and service providers.

Requirements include:
- PhD/MS level in chemistry or analytical chemistry.
- 5+ years of industry experience with the primary focus being related to oligonucleotide science (astute with LC-MS and HPLC- quantitative)
