The BioReady Community Survey

The time and effort that you spent completing this survey is appreciated. If you have any questions in regard to the survey, please contact Melinda Moy at 617-674-5139 or at melinda.moy@massbio.org.

The Massachusetts Biotechnology Council (MBC) and partner organizations began the BioReady Communities Campaign in early 2008. The focus of the campaign is to help enable Massachusetts to maintain its global leadership in biotechnology by increasing the inventory of real and potential biotechnology facility sites in the state. Thus far, the MBC has conducted five regional BioReady Community Seminars throughout the state (Andover, Billerica, Chicopee, Worcester, and Hopkinton) for the purpose of providing background to municipal officials about the biotech industry and guidance on how to position a municipality as a destination for biotech laboratory and manufacturing facilities. These ongoing seminars will cover every region of the state by the end of 2008.

As part of the BioReady Campaign, we are also developing ratings for municipalities (Bronze through Platinum), so that municipalities will be able to effectively market themselves to the biotech industry. Your completion of this survey will be the most important step in attaining a rating from the MBC as a BioReady Community.

Complete the survey.

Before the Bioready Ratings are publicized by the MBC, you will receive confirmation of your community's rating from the MBC.

Thank you for assisting us in this endeavor. It is our hope that the Ratings will help your community better market itself to the growing biotechnology industry and help enable Massachusetts to maintain its competitive advantages as a global leader in biotechnology.
