IP: Threats & Opportunities in Proceedings before the EPO
Thursday, October 25 2012
8:00 am – 9:15 am
Location: MassBio, 300 Technology Square, 8th Floor, Cambridge, MA
What every US patent attorney should know about the pitfalls to avoid and how to get broad patent protection in Europe.
The standards for priority, amendments, obviousness, enablement and written description are so different between the US and Europe that an application which is drafted for the USPTO may have troubles succeeding before the EPO. Some requirements are stricter in EP and some are more relaxed than in the US.
Two experienced biotech EPA’s from one of Europe’s leading biotech hubs, the Medicon Valley (Eastern Denmark and south-western Sweden) will guide you through the pitfalls and make you aware of the opportunities
