The International Genetically Engineered Machines (iGEM) Competition is the preeminent Synthetic Biology competition for college and high school students around world. This year we have nearly 4000 students participating, comprising over 215 teams from many corners of the globe.
The iGEM 2013 High School Division competition runs from from January to June. A total of 22 teams will participate in the final iGEM 2013 High School Jamboree. High schoolers from teams around the world, including the US, Canada, Mexico, United Kingdom, China, Turkey and more, will come together to present their projects and compete for awards in the final event of the season.
Join us to see what the next generations of life scientists are developing. Not only is iGEM a premier STEM educational activity for students, it also provides a peek into the work of academic labs, researchers and entrepreneurs in the rapidly emerging field of Synthetic Biology.
