Impact 2020 Twitter Chat: It’s Who You Know: The Impact of Relationships in Massachusetts’ Biotech Cluster

Tuesday, January 21 2014
8:00 pm – 9:00 pm

Location: #Impact2020 & @MassBio on Twitter or TweetChat

Our work on Impact 2020, a strategic report for the industry, is gaining momentum and we can’t wait to share it with you! To give you a sneak peek and get your thoughts, we’ll be hosting a series of Twitter Chats over the coming months and we hope you’ll join us.

From relationships to financing, cutting-edge science to healthcare reform, we’ll touch on the factors that have brought Massachusetts biotech cluster its success and discuss what we can collectively do to preserve that leadership position well into the future.

Our first Twitter Chat takes place 8-9 pm ET on January 21. Join us for:

“It’s Who You Know: The Impact of Relationships in Massachusetts’ Biotech Cluster”

The Massachusetts biotech network is tight-knit, and those new to the local scene are quick to note the powerful relationships they encounter among us locals. Tapping into that community can be daunting, and led one recent stakeholder to call the Massachusetts biotech community “The Club” when being interviewed for the Impact 2020 report.

On the other hand, our tight-knit community means that entrepreneurs have near-instant access to a wide variety resources, and there’s a good chance we’re all six degrees of professional separation from Bob Langer or Henri Termeer.

What does our close community mean to you, and how can we make sure our network works to build the Massachusetts cluster? We’d love to hear your thoughts.
