MassBio Members--Did you know April 24th is National “Take Our Daughters and Sons To Work Day?”
This year, MassBio and MassBioEd invite you and your child to kick off the day at our headquarters. Let us teach your children about the life-changing and ever-growing life sciences industry!
By starting your day with MassBio, you are giving your child an opportunity explore biotechnology through fun, hands-on science activities before you take them over to visit your own workplace!
This program is appropriate for children between 8 and 12 years old. Parents must be present for entire program.
9am-10am: Registration, breakfast and independent activities
10am-10:45am: Overview of biotechnology with experiments with Whitney Hagins from MassBioEd
MassBio works closely in conjunction with its sister organization, MassBioEd, to support STEM education with a focus in biotechnology in Massachusetts through school programs, workforce training, and lifelong learning. MassBioEd works to inspire and cultivate the next generation of innovators. MassBioEd’s programming starts at the high school level with its BioTeach program that brings biotech to 189 public schools in Massachusetts, but it’s never too early to engage your children in their future and help them get excited about STEM fields!
