Student Veteran Recareering Seminar hosted by Abiomed, North Shore Community College and Salem State University

On June 17th, North Shore Community College, Salem State University, and the innovative medical device company Abiomed will partner with the MedTech and BioTech Veterans Program to conduct Boston’s first Life Sciences focused re-careering event for student veterans and graduates.
Honorably discharged or currently serving student veterans are invited to apply for the opportunity to participate in this free one day seminar that will include active one-on-one mentoring, industry specific training, eLearning enrollment, and personal engagement with mentors and Human Resources professionals from the Medical Device industry. The industry offers careers in areas such fields as project management, supply chain, quality control, human resources, and many other fields that are career opportunities for Boston area college students and graduates.
There is no cost for student veterans to attend the event, and companies that are seeking to employ veterans will be participating in the workshop. All materials, breakfast, lunch, and parking are provided free of charge. Student veterans and recent graduates who are interested in participating in the program can apply at the MedTech and BioTech Veterans Program website (http://www.mvpvets.org/mvpvets-event-interest-form).
The daylong event begins at 8:00 with a continental breakfast and concludes at 4:30. It will be held at the North Shore Community College Danvers campus, in room 106B of the Math and Science building (1 Ferncroft Road, Danvers, MA 01923).
