UBIFRANCE, the French agency for international business development, and the prestigious Galien Foundation join forces in order to develop, encourage and reward international partnerships forged between a US and France entities. Their partnership, branded as UBISTART, furthers the Galien Foundation’s mission of recognizing and rewarding excellence in scientific innovation to improve the state of human health. UBISTART seeks to create and foster worldwide innovation and collaborations in the biotechnology, medical technology, pharmaceutical and e-health industries, and improve EU market access by collaborating with 40 cutting-edge French companies.

Either you represent an innovative company, a research institute or a healthcare organization if you wish to accelerate your international development by building long lasting transatlantic relationships with well-known partners, come to UBISTART.

The UBISTART program kicks-off with the ‘UBISTART Tour’ on July 10, at the New York Academy of Sciences, NYC, USA, whose President and CEO, Ellis Rubinstein, welcomes the organizations with enthusiastic support. The event will facilitate matchmaking and help US-French innovators connect and discuss potential collaborations.

The second facet of the program will be the UBISTART Competition where U.S. and French participants will apply as a team to the UBISTART COMPETITION by submitting a joint proposal by Friday, October 31, 2014. A panel of expert judges will review proposals and announce the nine most innovative and promising US-French projects on November 15, 2014.

Three winners will be announced during the 45th Prix Galien Awards Ceremony in Monaco on December 4, 2014. They will win respectively US$ 50 000, 30 000 and 20 000 USD.

The last phase of the program will be to implement the winning pilot projects, with support and guidance provided by UBIFRANCE.
