Proceeds from the Golf Classic will help the MassBioEd Foundation fulfill its mission to promote and deliver quality biotechnology educational experiences in schools, the workplace and in the community. MassBioEd's BioTeach program strives to provide every public high school in Massachusetts with the skills and tools that are necessary to teach biotechnology. Since 2005 BioTeach has engaged high school students with hands-on lab experiences that inspire scientific curiosity, understanding, and for many students, a career in the life sciences. To date they have reached over 170 high schools, trained hundreds of teachers and touched thousands of students. MassBioEd has expanded its work to include coordinating student job shadow days, guest speakers and panels, and teacher externships.
Over the past several years, the Golf Classic has raised an average of $100,000 a year. Your participation, donations and sponsorship can help us to exceed last year's proceeds.
