The US healthcare system will change drastically over the next 5 years.  These changes will have a follow-on significant impact on Life Science research, development, commercialization and potentially the very nature of Life Science value.  IT, as the driver of data management and business process automation is at the heart of the change.  Investment in Healthcare IT will revolutionize the way companies find, test and sell their products.  At the same time broad changes in patient access to care will drive consumers to manage their own health through online and mobile tools while in the back office IT will implement new streamlined procedures to manage the regulated processes.   This panel session will highlight both the practical long-term effects of healthcare reform and the opportunity created by TARP investment in healthcare IT.  Our panelists bring a diverse perspective to the conversation.
