You are invited to join the MBC Biostatistics and Data Management Committee for a presentation on
"PK for the Rest of Us"

When : Thursday, June 14, 2007

Time : 12:00-2:00 PM

Where : MBC Office, One Cambridge Center, 9th Floor, Cambridge, MA

Overview :
The goal of pharmacokinetics in drug development is to take descriptive information on what happened to the drug in the body and correlate it to what is happening in the patient. This can be viewed as either therapeutic benefit or resulting adverse events. However it is important to keep in mind that individual pharmacokinetic parameters are pieces of a puzzle and must be put together to see the whole picture. To this end the presentation will focus on a brief overview of pharmacokinetics and the basic understanding of the discipline and then present some examples to demonstrate the importance of the big picture approach

Speaker :

Darrell Nix, Ph.D.
Senior Director, Drug Development, Alantos Pharmaceuticals

Lunch will be served.
