The next talk in our series on methods of drug delivery will focus on oral delivery. New developments in this area allow for interesting customizable release profiles. The talk will provide more insight into the possibilities by showing how one such technology has been applied to a range of products.

In the area of oral drug delivery Geomatrix is a delivery technology that uses a 3 layered tablet. By controlling the swelling and gelling of this 3 layered tablet, the location, time and/or release profile of a drug can be controlled. This technology is well established as evident from the 10 new/reformulated products that have been approved in the US and/or Europe. The focus of the talk will be to provide a better understanding of the capabilities of Geomatrix and how it has been applied to various reformulation challenges.
