Meeting Overview:

It's no secret that outsourcing processes are constantly changing based on industry climate and regulatory requirements. Biotech and pharmaceutical companies must seek out alternatives to the traditional paradigms for clinical trial outsourcing that can help maintain appropriate levels of control, ensure high quality and lower their overall drug development costs.

Contract-research Organizations (CROs) must provide flexible, integrated outsourcing models that allow the proper tactical blend of services tailored to the changing needs of the organization and the industry. Many sponsor companies are re-thinking and re-engineering their outsourcing strategies to shift from traditional fee for service models to a more collaborative and interactive partnership or strategic alliance. Speakers from both CRO and sponsor organizations will present case studies demonstrating how this paradigm shift may help to reduce costs and increase efficiencies as both partners share risks, develop product knowledge and have a deeper level of communication and trust.
