Neurofibromatosis, Inc., Northeast
Neurofibromatosis Northeast is a nonprofit organization founded in1988. Their mission is to find a treatment and cure for neurofibromatosis by promoting scientific research, creating awareness and supporting those who are affected by NF.
NF, Northeast has awarded over $3 million to research scientists at facilities around the country and locally provides grants to the Harvard Medical School Center for Neurofibromatosis and Allied Disorders (CNfAD), and the NF Clinics at Massachusetts General Hospital and Children’s Hospital Boston.
NF Northeast has effectively advocated for Congressionally directed funding for NF research at the Department of Defense and National Institutes of Health, and they are a resource to NF patients, family members and physicians throughout the northeastern United States.
