The Office for Science and Technology operates in close collaboration with numerous French institutions including research organizations, universities and engineering schools, centers for technology transfer, incubators, and companies.

The Office for Science and Technology has several branches located across the United States covering a wide spectrum of activities. The Office based out of the French Consulate in Boston is mainly in charge of Innovation and Technology Transfer and works closely with the French Trade Office. Biotech and IT have been identified as its priorities.

Each year, the Boston office organizes a conference titled The French American Innovation Day (FAID). The purpose of this event is to promote research and innovation in areas where France and the United States share a competitive advantage and to foster cooperation between American and French biotechnology laboratories and start-ups. This year, the focus will be on Cancer : from Imaging to Taylored Treatments. Leading scientists, entrepreneurs, business executives and other decision-makers will attend this event.
