650 Massachusetts High School Students to Participate in Job Shadow Day at Local Biotech Companies
MassBioEd facilitates connections between students and life science professionals
What: 650 students from 18 Massachusetts public high schools will have the opportunity to explore life science career options by shadowing biotechnology professionals at 18 local biotech companies in 19 locations.
The 2nd Annual Statewide Biotechnology Job Shadow Day aims to allow students to learn more about the fascinating and diverse career options that exist within the life sciences and encourage them to consider further STEM education. Students will participate in company tours, one-on-one meetings with life science professionals and a networking lunch.

8:30 a.m. Students arrive
9:00 a.m. Welcoming remarks
9:20 a.m. Career-related panel presentation
9:50 a.m. Company mentors convene to meeting room
10:00 a.m. Students introduced to mentors and leave for job shadow/tour
12:15 p.m. Lunch
1:00 p.m. Students depart
