A Note from the President: Looking Forward to a Busy 2012 at MassBio
In just six short months, Boston will be welcoming more than 15,000 of the world’s leading biotech stakeholders for one of the biggest industry events of the year.
The BIO International Convention annually attracts the top names in our field and offers key networking and partnering opportunities. The convention broke attendance records when it was last held in Boston in 2007 and we are aiming for another sellout crowd in 2012.
In 2012, MassBio will lead the Massachusetts presence at the show, by managing the Massachusetts Pavilion and coordinating various events. I invite each and every one of you to come forward and join us in promoting our world-leading cluster. Collaboration is the most important thing we have in Massachusettstoday. We have to work together to create jobs, bring new investment to the state and join forces to show the world what a powerhouse Massachusetts really is. We have a powerful story to tell, a compelling story to tell, and we ought to be proud to do so when the convention comes to town.
To make this event a success, we need your attendance and participation and, of course, your enthusiasm. Registration is open and I urge you to take the time to sign up now.
More information about the convention can be found inside this edition of MassBioNews and online
Thank you for your support and I hope to see you in June, as well as at our Policy Breakfast and Annual Meeting, which are quickly approaching in January and March, respectively.
Best wishes for a happy and healthy season.
- Robert K. Coughlin, President & CEO of MassBio
