451 Marketing & Freeman to Create Massachusetts Pavilion at 2012 BIO International Convention

Firms to design & build innovative exhibit for June industry show

January 18, 2012 (Cambridge, MA)— MassBio today announced that 451 Marketing and Freeman have been hired to design and build the Massachusetts Pavilion at the 2012 BIO International Convention in Boston.

MassBio is coordinating the 7,700-square-foot Pavilion at the convention, which showcases and connects the people, companies and innovations that help to fulfill the promise of biotechnology through healing, fueling, and feeding the world. The convention runs June 18-21, 2012 at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center in Boston’s Innovation District.

This year, the Massachusetts Pavilion will break the trade show mold, offering convention-goers a more interactive and interesting experience than ever before, said MassBio President & CEO Robert K. Coughlin.

“As the host state welcoming more than 15,000 industry leaders to Massachusetts, we have an opportunity to tell the story of the Commonwealth’s success in the life sciences,” Coughlin said. “By highlighting our innovative companies across the drug development pipeline, our world-class academic institutions, our support government partners and the patients whose lives we aim to improve, the Massachusetts Pavilion will be a hub of activity and connection throughout the convention.”

Boston-based 451 Marketing will lead the Pavilion’s concept design & brand execution. 451 Marketing is an award-winning agency that specializes in creating custom, integrated communications campaigns by combining public relations, social media, search marketing, and creative design.

Braintree-based Freeman will handle the structural design as well as the construction and execution of the 70’ by 110’ pavilion area. The blend of beautiful printed fabrics, vibrant graphics, and amazing stage lighting will give attendees a wonderful space to connect face-to-face within the pavilion.
