MLSC Cooperative Research Matching Grant Program: Third Round Launched
The Massachusetts Life Sciences Center has launched the third round of our Cooperative Research Matching Grant Program, which is designed to promote industry-academic research collaborations, support translational research and accelerate the commercialization of promising products, and services.
Not-for-profit research institutions are eligible to apply for grant funding of up to $250,000 per year over 2 years, provided that they have secured an industry sponsor for the research which will match funds on a 1:1 basis.
Applicants will be required to clearly identify the opportunity or value proposition for collaborating with the industry sponsor. Proposals should clearly articulate:
- the problem to be solved
- the benefits of solving this problem
- the differences between what is currently available on the market and what this partnership is likely to yield in terms of improved health outcomes, cost efficiencies, enhanced delivery of services, etc.
- the project work plan
- how responsibility for project completion is shared between the industry and academic partner(s)
