Dr. Alice Jacobs, CEO of IntelligentMDx, Honored as a 2012 Mass High Tech Woman to Watch
Cambridge, MA, March 6, 2012 – Dr. Alice Jacobs, Chairman and CEO of IntelligentMDx (IMDx), has been named a 2012 Woman to Watch by Mass High Tech. This is the 9th year Mass High Tech, The Voice of New England Innovation, has been honoring New England women for their contributions to their technology sectors and their positions as role models in the community. The Mass High Tech Women to Watch are highly motivated with outstanding records of accomplishment and command attention as they continue to shape the future of their industries.

Under the leadership of Dr. Jacobs, IMDx designs, develops, and manufactures clinically relevant molecular diagnostics for rapid and accurate detection of diseases. In 2011, IMDx released two CE-marked diagnostic kits, which are being distributed globally by Abbott, targeting two of the most threatening healthcare-associated infections, Clostridium difficile, and vancomycin-resistant enterococci. Diagnostic tests for Group B streptococcus and Influenza A/B and RSV are scheduled to obtain CE-marking and launch in the spring of 2012. The IMDx pipeline also includes additional assays targeting oncology, human genetics and companion diagnostics.
