Environmental Health & Safety Firm Safety Partners, Inc. Names Katy Tynan As Executive Vice President

April 2, 2012

April 2, 2012 (Burlington, MA) –– EHS firm Safety Partners, Inc. today announced the appointment of Katy Tynan as Executive Vice President. Katy will oversee Safety Partners’ operations, leveraging a proven track record of helping professional service organizations scale business operations. Safety Partners, Inc., a pioneer in EHS for the life sciences industry, has provided workplace safety and compliance services to more than 250 small and mid-sized laboratory-based technology companies throughout New England since its founding in 1992.

Katy’s consulting and management experience has spanned various industries and organizations, but centers on guiding early-stage companies successfully through the growth phase. As part of the management team at the consulting organization Thrive Networks, Katy helped build the start-up 40% year over year until its acquisition by Staples Inc. (NASDAQ: SPLS) in 2006.

“We’re thrilled to have Katy as part of the Safety Partners team,” said Founder and President Denise Aronson. “Katy’s experience in building professional service firms, her knowledge of people and mentorship, and her intelligence and warmth make her a great person to maintain the spirit and personality of Safety Partners while managing our day-to-day operations and growth.”

“I am thrilled to be joining an organization that places such a strong emphasis on both the quality of the service delivered to its clients and the quality of life of its consultants,” commented Katy.  “Safety Partners represents best in class environmental health and safety consulting, and it’s a privilege to join the team.”

Most recently, Katy directed Technology Consulting Services at Harvard Business School, where she oversaw IT strategy development and delivery. Katy is the author of “Survive Your Promotion: the 90-Day Success Plan for New Managers.”
