Life Sciences Incubator Launched in CreaGen Biosciences, Inc.
Woburn, Mass., December 11, 2012 – CreaGen Biosciences, Inc. (www.creagenbio.com), a ten-year-old medicinal chemistry and drug discovery research organization, today announced, after successfully incubating three area successful life science companies, that it is expanding its services to provide a fully-equipped incubator for the life sciences community. It will be called “CreaGen Startup Incubator-Woburn (CSI-Woburn).”
The CSI model is founded on the CreaGen commitment to support innovation through growth-oriented partnerships with their clients. Coupled with CreaGen’s track record for excellence, the CSI initiative provides the community a flexible facility to incubate and grow emerging life science companies. The facility includes access to CreaGen’s stateof- the-art chemistry laboratories and instrumentation, additional laboratory space, office space, conference rooms, kitchen and dining room, and ample free parking.
In making this announcement, Dr. Raj Rajur, Chairman and CEO, noted that “After seeing SciFluor Life Sciences and Rilas Technologies mature in a short period of time in the CreaGen facility, it is clear to me that we have the resources and infrastructure, right here, to support both early stage as well as short term growth transition life science
companies. Our flexible package will provide the life science community a greater
chance to succeed.”
“SciFluor Life Sciences has benefitted greatly from access to the medicinal chemistry facilities at CreaGen Biosciences during the formative stage of our company, allowing us to advance our research programs while identifying and establishing our new laboratories in Cambridge. The fully-equipped incubator, CSI-Woburn, is an important resource that new biopharmaceutical and biotechnology companies can consider to expedite their startup phase,” commented Dr. D. Scott Edwards, Vice President, SciFluor Life Sciences.
"It is rare for a life science incubator to have on-site such a wide array of analytical instrumentation that is freely available for tenants to use. This has been extremely helpful and allowed us to achieve our research objectives in a timely manner without going over budget" –said Dr. Irving Sucholeiki, President, Aquilus Pharmaceuticals, Inc. currently operating through CSI Woburn.
