BioVolutions opens new cell culture facility in Woburn, MA
February 13, 2013 - BioVolutions just opened a new cell culture facility at One Presidential Way in Woburn, MA. BioVolutions' renewed focus on cell line and bioreactor development begins with the expansion of a Research Cell Bank (RCB) to produce a Working Research Cell Bank (WRCB) to confirm media and procedures for viable cell density, doubling time and split ratios in small shaken cultures.
The culture method is then ready for scale up from 2L to a 50L Single Use Bioreactor while optimizing titers and protein quality using "real-time" glycosylation analysis. Material produced in this phase of the project is then used to confirm downstream processing methods.
BioVolutions is a CRO servicing clients whose interests range from cell development to clinical trial manufacturing. BioVolutions' mission is to save time and minimize costs required to obtain tox supplies and clinical trial material.
