YEi Announces 2013 Competition 

Young Entrepreneurs Initiative (YEi) will help twelve promising U.S. startups explore opportunities in France

BOSTON – June 3rd, 2013 – “Young Entrepreneurs Initiative” (YEi) is proud to kick off its 2013 competition! YEi will award 12 promising American-based innovative startups looking to explore development opportunities in France. The application deadline is on July 18th. 

This year, YEi increases the number of prizes and doubles the chances for the candidates to be selected. YEi will award 12 laureates withing 2 categories: National prizes and Regional prizes

Candidates can apply and be awarded in both categories.

NATIONAL prizes: 5 laureates

  • 1 week business tour with customized accelerator program, qualified meetings, and a dedicated team of French experts and mentors / Oct-Dec 2013
  • 1 laureate will be chosen to receive the "Air France Sustainability Award"

REGIONAL prizes: 7 laureates

  • 1 week soft-landing immersion in a French incubator or Business Innovation Center (BIC) member of RETIS, the French innovation network / Oct-Dec 2013


  • Pre-trip training in Boston with YEi coaching team and experts from the Invest in France Agency
  • 1 year individual coaching by the YEi coaching team
  • 3 month trial in a French incubator or BIC (YEi sponsor): office facilities and associated support services
  • Transportation to Paris provided in part by Air France and the French Consulate in Boston

The foundation customizes training programs for companies and educational institutions and promotes science in the classroom through BioTeach. MassBio members receive a discount on courses offered by the foundation.
