The Issue
Consumer activists have raised concerns about the interaction of pharmaceutical companies and health care providers. They have called for restrictive oversight of pharmaceutical sales and marketing.
Our Position
We support appropriate limits to prevent conflicts of interest. We do not support measures that limit health care providers' access to information that is useful to them and their patients.
