This series of courses is designed to provide interested healthcare workers with basic conversational Spanish skills targeted toward the types of interactions that take place in a clinical setting . The requirements to earn a certificate are three seven-week courses which build the clinician’s knowledge and confidence in speaking Spanish from a beginner’s level to a proficient level. (An optional introductory course is also offered for those with little or no background in Spanish.)

Classes are held weekly in the evening live online via Zoom. Practice homework will require 1-3 hours per week.

Two books are required for these classes. They are used throughout the three classes required for the certificate (as well as the optional Introduction course). The books must be purchased in advance for use during the first class session.
