Can wireless data transmission from small animals advance your research?
Open Source Instruments invites the MassBio community to a Telemetry Lunch Discussion between 11AM and 2PM on Sept 25th.
This is an opportunity for researchers to discuss key challenges with telemetry and EEG data analysis, and to share insights on best practices for telemetry. We welcome you to drop by at any point during this time frame.
Open Source Instruments offers a telemetry system to collect biometric data in small animals. Our multifaceted system provides co-housing of animals, continuous recording, synchronous video, optogenetic stimulation, and movement detection.
For those interested in the applicability of our system, we will provide hands-on demonstrations throughout the event. Test whether our hardware, and software can improve your results. We look forward to meeting you, and are excited to expand our connections and understanding of Epilepsy research in the Greater Boston area.
Founded in 2014, Open Source Instruments (OSI) is a Boston-based electrical engineering, design, and manufacturing company. OSI, over the past two decades, has worked closely with academic and industry leaders in Epilepsy research to create a subcutaneous telemetry system with free software and automatic event detection. Here is a link to papers made possible using OSI’s system:
